God is love and love is God. It is not possible to advance on the Spiritual path, which is all about remembering who we are, without having self-love because to love ourselves is to know ourselves. To love ourselves is to know who we are: an expression of Spirit, an extension of the Great Light or whatever terminology you prefer.

So if you don’t love yourself, you simply don’t know yourself. And if you don’t know yourself, you can’t be right with yourself. And if you are not right with yourself, you will end up projecting your wrong, loveless, unloving relationship to yourself onto everyone in the world, including God.

Essentially, this is why we have so many problems in the world today. We don’t relate to each other properly. We don’t relate to each other as God meeting God, Christ meeting Christ, Buddha meeting Buddha, or light meeting light, if you prefer. We don’t relate to each other properly because we don’t know, we have forgotten, who we are. So we relate to each other as separate bodies. If we have a pimple in our face, the self-worth goes down. If we get a new pretty haircut, the self-worth goes up. If we have a lot of money in our account, the self-worth goes up. If we lose money, the self-worth goes down, isn’t it?

Yet, in truth, our self-worth is unchangeable. It can neither be increased by our successes nor decreased by our mistakes. It is eternally the same. It is eternally infinite.

But, collectively, as a race we can’t see that. And so we end up projecting our wrong, unloving relationship to ourselves onto others. As Dr Stone said, “We don’t have relationships with people. We have relationships with our beliefs about people.” And well, we still believe we are separate bodies, and that our worth comes from physical looks and material possession.

Yet in truth we all have infinite worth and value because God created us. There is nothing we have to do to earn our worth and value – it is inherent in who we are. There is nothing we have to do to earn love. It is our birthright as a Son and Daughter of God.

You can love God, can you? Well, to love yourself is the same as loving God because you are literally an extension of God. Think about that for a moment. The only difference between you and God is that God created you and not the other way round. You did not create yourself. God created you. And God created you by literally extending Himself and Herself. So you literally are God – in the most literal sense of the term. And as I said in the beginning, God is love and love is God. To love yourself is to know yourself. So be still and know that you are Divine.

Think about it. And let’s begin by giving ourselves a big hug right now.

Anyway, that’s it for now. I hope I could be of service to you. Have a love-filled day.
