So what’s new about the New Age?

What’s new is that we have entered the Aquarian Age – and each astrological age has a different Ray influence. And the reason why that is, is because when these energies hit upon us, we start working with them and integrating them and making them part of our consciousness – even if we are not consciously aware of any of it. For example, the Age of Pisces was under the influence of the Sixth Ray of Idealism and Devotion. That’s why there was a Jesus who became Christ – Christ just being another word for the perfect expression of Divine Love. So Christ Consciousness or Divine Love was the ideal of the Piscean Age and the masses got devoted to the ideal. That’s the effect which the Sixth Ray of idealism and devotion has produced. Again, I am leaving out a lot of details here, but making idealism and devotion a part of our consciousness was an important step in our evolution in the Piscean Age.

Now anyway, what’s new about the New Age? What’s new about the New Age now is that this new age, this Aquarian Age, is under the influence of the Seventh Ray of Divine Law and Order and Magic.
Now what does that mean?

It simply means this: We are now entering the next phase in our evolution. And in this next phase we will be learning about the Universal Laws that maintain Order in the cosmos. These laws have always been there – we have just been unaware of them; and in this next phase of our evolution, they will become externalized, they will become mainstream. And as we learn about these laws and start working with them, we can actually become conscious co-creators with our Divine Creator. We become magicians.

Let me give you an example of what I mean by that and why the Seventh Ray is also called the Ray of Magic (which I guess must sound strange to some of you, at least to those of you who are new to intuitive philosophy who may think that can’t be for serious): Let’s say you are dreaming about having your own home. In your mind’s eye you start picturing it, then you start getting emotionally excited about it, and then you decide to take some physical initiative to manifest that beautiful home – and voilá, before you know it, you are living in your new home. If you think about it, that’s quite magical, isn’t it? How an idea in our mind becomes a physical reality. Today you dream about it and tomorrow you hold it in your hands. That’s called magic, in intuitive philosophy. So we are all doing it already – we are all magicians creating our lives, each one of us, day in and day out – but we don’t realize it. We don’t realize that our thinking, that our getting emotionally excited or getting emotionally worried about our thinking, and our doing creates our lives. When we think, when we feel, when we do, we are working with energies and forces.

And in this next phase now, in this New Age which we have now entered, we will become consciously aware of what we are doing here when we draw a picture in our mind and assemble thoughts into thought forms, when we charge them with astral force to attract them down to the physical/etheric plane and give them physical/etheric substance. We are learning to do it consciously – as Souls; rather than doing it unconsciously, as sleeping personalities. It is no coincidence why, in intuitive philosophy, the Soul is also called the White Magician.
