Edgar Cayce, the father of holistic medicine, who later became known as the sleeping prophet, was not exactly the best pupil in school.
So one time, when Cayce was being scolded by his teacher for not knowing the answer to a question he was asked, Cayce heard a still, small voice within his mind telling him that he should close his eyes and take a little nap with the school book under his pillow.
When he woke up from his nap, – so it has been said – he had total recall of the entire book.
Pretty cool, hm? I actually was curious and tried it out myself. Now, unfortunately, I can’t claim that I was able to recall an entire book by just putting it under my pillow, but I am certain that we can energetically absorb the books we want to read by putting them under our pillow and by this way subconsciously learn about the topics we want to master.
I have done a few speed reading courses in my life and I have noticed that when I get a book and go through the table of contents and headings before going to sleep …, and then put the book next to my head – I actually can’t sleep with pillows – so I have noticed that by doing the first steps of the speed reading process, and then putting the book next to my head, when I wake up the next morning, the book really feels very familiar.
Obviously, when you speed-read a book, you read it subconsciously and know it on some level, but by sleeping in the energy of the book, you also absorb it energetically.
Try it out for yourself. That may well be the lazy man’s guide to enlightenment.
Well, truthfully, it takes more than that to attain enlightment, but why not try it out. You have nothing to lose.
I think it is time for all of us to open up to more intuitive ways of learning and growing. We are not our bodies, we are not limited to our brains, we are extensions of cosmic intelligence. On a higher level, we know everything there is to know because in our Creation our Creator literally shared His and Her mind with us. As A Course in Miracles says, “God is the mind with which I think.” But while we go through this process of realizing this profound truth, why not put some books under your pillow. So throw out your TV (in case you have one in your bedroom) and set up your library there.
I hope I could be of service to you today. Have a great day. Bye.
