The End of Fear: What is Fear and How to Transcend it

Now, our Soul further extended itself and created a so-called persona for itself.

Mind, emotion, body. That’s what we call the personality.

Now, in our Creation, Source did not only share His and Her Spirit with us, Source also shared His and Her Mind with us.

As A Course in Miracles says, “God is the mind with which we think.” So what you see here, this mind here, is actually a part of the mind of God. It is an extension of the Mind of God or Source. Totally divine.

Then an event happened which is known as the so-called Fall of Man.

The fall of man is nothing more and nothing less than the decision of this mind here to cut itself off from its Source, and to deny Source.

You may ask yourself, why did that happen? Well, I will let you know once I figure that one out.

So, a part of our mind split itself off. We now had a split mind.

So, there is still a part of our mind, right now, which knows that this here is our true identity. Some people call this the Divine Mind, or Monadic Mind, or even just the Higher Mind or Superconscious Mind even though, technically speaking, this is not actually all the same.

But anyway, so now a part of our mind had split itself off. And that part of our mind which split itself off began to dis-identify from Source and to identify with the body. So there was a part of our mind now that thought it is a body. In the I AM University we call this mind here the negative ego / fear-based/ separative/ dualistic …. mind. In short, NEGATIVE EGO.

The word negative comes from the Latin negare which means to negate, to deny. The word ego, in intuitive philosophy, when capped, actually means Soul. So the negative ego is the part of our mind that negates Soul and Spirit.

Now listen: The negative ego mind is still a part of the mind of God, or Source if you prefer, because that is its source, its origin.

BUT: It thought that it managed to do the impossible, namely, to successfully split itself off from Source.

However, as A Course in Miracles says so beautifully, “The fall never really happened. We just think it did.”

Said another way: We never managed to do the impossible, we just think we did. So this part of our mind here actually never managed to really cut itself off from its Source.

But anyway, so there is a part of our mind that thinks it is a body and denies Source even though it still derives its power to make from this very Source which it denies.

We will talk more about that another time. Quite frankly, this is such a huge subject, and to explain all that properly, it probably would take one or two days. So what I am sharing here with you is not a complete picture, it really is just an introduction of sorts.

So anyway, the negative ego mind, the part of our mind which denies Source, is in essence an imprisoned mind.

A mind that thinks it is a body. A mind that thinks it starts here and ends with the toes or something.

So, this is who we are in reality. And this is what everybody in the world thinks we are.

We all think – more or less, we are waking up now – but we all, more or less, think that we are bodies.
