So this here is what is called the negative ego/ fear-based/ separative mind. It is the part of our mind that denies Source.
So we have actually imprisoned a part of our mind.
Look at this blank page here and just picture this page having no beginning and no end. I don’t happen to have an eternal flip chart with me (smiles), so just picture it not having any borders. This is our God-given mind. Infinite space, infinite creativity, infinite everything. No limitations at all. From this state of infinity we extend Spirit’s Kingdom into infinity.
But a part of our mind split itself off and started to believe it is a body. It started to believe it lives in a box. And the moment we started to think that we are a box, our extensions became projections. We could no longer extend because we put a limit to our mind. So now, our extensions became projections.
A lot of people use the word projection but not many people understand what that really means. Projection is simply the inappropriate use of extension. Projection is what happens when an imprisoned mind tries to extend itself within self-imposed limits. So it is in the nature of the mind to extend itself, but an imprisoned mind can no longer extend itself because it has imprisoned itself.
You see, there is a law of the mind that you need to understand.
All thoughts return to the mind of the thinker. Thinking that we are a box, separate from everyone and everything around, and therefore sending out thoughts of separation, projecting thoughts of separation onto everyone and everything, we began experiencing our own projected separative thoughts that were merely returning to us, the thinker, as an ATTACK upon ourselves.
Everyone in the world experiences fear, and what we all are afraid of is our own attack thoughts.
So whatever you are afraid of is merely your own projected attack thoughts, your own separative thoughts – thoughts of being separate from the love of the universe, separate from the abundance of the universe, separate from the wisdom of the universe etc., separate from everything up here – returning back to you.
So denying the love, the abundance, the wisdom, the oneness, the everything of the universe, we started sending out thoughts of lack, of separation, of ignorance, and these thoughts then were coming back to us, the thinker. And we experience these separative thoughts as attack. So we tell ourselves that we are unworthy, ugly, poor, powerless, meaningless, unimportant, insignificant, that we can’t do this, that we can’t do that, and that we are not good enough. We all do that all the time without even noticing it. And that’s called self-attack. All attack is self-attack. Attack is what happens when we project separation from everything up here (from Source), and when the projection of separation returns to the thinker.
And then we think the whole world is against us – that people gossip behind our back, that we need weapons to defend ourselves, that we are not worthy and all the rest – when in truth it is all just happening in our own little mind. We are constantly attacking ourselves and we don’t even notice it. Only a split mind can attack itself. The sane mind, the whole mind, the universal mind, extends itself.
