Thinking that we are a separate body instead of eternal light, cutting ourselves off from Source – not in reality, but in our thinking – and reducing ourselves to a physical body, had the following consequences.
Cutting ourselves off from Source, not in reality but in our thinking, we no longer knew who or what we are, or where we come from. (LOSS OF KNOWLEDGE)
Who created us? Did we create ourselves? I mean, if you cut yourself off from your Creator, at some point you will ask yourself where you come from or whether you exist at all.
I mean, ask your friends and family, where do you come from. I promise you, people are very confused about it. Ask ten people, you will get ten different answers. They don’t know. They are not sure about it. And do you know why? Because our decision to deny our Source was the LOSS OF KNOWLEDGE AND THE BIRTH OF PERCEPTION.
Ever since we cut ourselves off from Source, we have not been sure of anything anymore because we cut ourselves off from knowledge. Cutting ourselves off from Source, all that we were left with was our body, and so now our experience of reality was limited to what our five organs of perception, which are built into the body, would reveal to us. If we can see it, hear it, taste it, touch it, smell it, it is real. If we can’t experience it with our five senses, it is not real. We base our understanding of reality not on knowledge but on perception. But that’s just what happens when you remove Source from the equation. We don’t know ourselves and we don’t know others. So we look at ourselves and think, who are you, and we look at other people and we think we look at strangers when in truth we are all brothers and sisters. Look at me. Don’t you recognize me? I am your sister. To recognize means to know again.
Cutting ourselves off from Source, we also literally cut off our SELF-WORTH.
Look around in this world. How many people do you know who truly love themselves? Most people don’t even like themselves. They are not right with themselves. But how should they be? I mean, if you cut yourself off from your Divine Source and deny who you are and reduce yourself to your body, which is what we all are doing here in this world, how can you be right with yourself? You cannot be fully right with yourself if you deny your true self, your Divine Self.
Why?
Because our worth and value come from who we are, not from what we do or what we look like. Our worth and value come from being created by Spirit, but if you deny that, you can’t see that. And then you will end up doing what most people do. Base your worth and value on money, material possessions and physical looks because that’s all that exists within the limitations of this God-denying mind here which has literally built a prison for itself. The only problem with that is that your good looks could be gone tomorrow, and the same is true for any material possessions and wealth. Our self-worth rises and falls with the beauty of our bodies and the money in our bank account. But again, that’s just what happens when you deny Spirit.
